Paying my penance

Have you ever tried to make up for what you have done? You know when you stole that candy bar in the store and your mom found you eating it in the back seat of the car and then took you back inside and had to buy it. That sort of thing…

Paying for something that you didn’t deserved in the 1st place then getting to keep it, even after you are less deserving of it…

So that one little example multiplied by a million…How do you make that right?

We Cant!

There is no way I would be able to pay for a million candy bars…what about all the people I have hurt…what is that worth? More then a candy bar I’m sure…

The amazing thing about God is…He doesn’t Care…

Don’t misunderstand; He does care about you, but He doesn’t care what you have done.

God wants to help you take all that junk and make it right FOR YOU!

Jesus came to earth to die for you and me. Each one of us has had EVERYTHING we HAVE DONE and WILL DO paid for.

Romans 8:34

Who then will condemn us? No one–for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Jesus is continually pleading for us. The way that sounds to me is that every time I do something wrong Jesus leans over to God the Father and says, “That one is covered.”

Jesus extends His grace to us so that we may be able to live without fear, guilt, shame, and death.

What is God’s Grace

Webster’s defines it as…

unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification

When you accept His grace you don’t have to try to pay for what you have done. He takes your life and sanctifies it and then regenerates you!

Do you want to be a new person not living in the guilt of what you have done?

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Stop living in guilt and shame. Live in the freedom that comes from becoming a new creation in Christ.

If you want to know more about becoming a new creation don’t hesitate to ask.

God Bless!
