I have been so busy with…(insert here).
How long is your “to do” list? if its like mine, and most peoples it would take all day to write it down. If I’m really being honest…I like having lots to do. I would rather be working on something then sitting here with nothing to do. But sometimes we get to busy. We end up with so much on our plate that we begin to get stressed out and life seems to start falling apart.
In those times the best thing to do is pray. If you allow Him Christ will calm your heart and mind and give you the strength to get through.
In all the chaos, take time (maybe 2 minutes…can you spare 2 minutes) to seek Him.
1 Kings 19:11-12
“Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the LORD told him. And as Elijah stood there, the LORD passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper.
The Lord can be heard, but He has a hard time getting to you through your busyness. Take a breath and listen to His still small voice.
