What’s your Christmas wish?

Christmas is a time for remembering and wishing. As a child most of us did a lot of wishing…I wish I had that, I wish I was older, I wish I could drive, I wish she would notice me…those sorts of things.
But as time passes we often lose those thoughts of the magical. People start saying things like…if you want it you have to take it, if you want something done right you have to do it yourself, and I’m to old to believe in fairy tales.

Jesus said,

I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:3

In the Lord’s prayer Jesus says your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

So it sounds like Jesus is saying that people need to have faith in things like a child and when we do He will bless us here as He will in heaven.

So what are you wishing for this Christmas?

Do you wish the government, or your employer, was better?
Do you wish that you had someone who was always there to talk to and to give you good advice?
Do you wish you had a father who never let you down, or maybe didn’t leave?
Do you wish you had peace in your life?
Do you wish that the whole world didn’t rest on your shoulders?

When I’m honest with myself I wish we could all have those things…

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, to us a son us given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting father, Prince of peace.

As you think about this Christmas season, remember that wishes do come true. Jesus can be those wishes in your life.
If you let him into your life, he will create peace and will be there to guide you through hard times in your life.

God bless!
