am-i-savedHave you ever doubted your salvation?

If the answer is yes, don’t worry you are not alone. The fact that there is so much at stake it is important to be sure you are saved through Jesus Christ.

The interesting thing is that your personal belief in Christ Jesus’ finished work through His resurrection is how you know if you are saved. To doubt your belief is a good indication that you are standing in faith that you have been saved. Without some measure of doubt faith is impossible. When you become a Christian the Holy Spirit lives inside you and guides you into all truth. When you begin to worry about your salvation allow Him to lead your heart and mind back to the faith that Jesus saved you.

Another assurance of your salvation is through your fruit. If your heart burns for the things that burn the heart of God and you are following His leading you are producing fruit.

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.” – John 8:31

(Jesus said) “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart fromme you can do nothing.” – John 15:5

You may be struggling with this question of salvation, because you feel like you were producing fruit but now you have fallen into sin.

There is Hope!!

It is impossible to lose your salvation. Jesus plainly told the teachers of the law once someone is in the hands of the Father they are safe from judgement.

Remember no one is perfect, but we will not fall out of grace if we sin. However, if the fruit that was once in your life is no longer there it is because sin separates us from God. As Jesus goes on to say in John 15, “If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.”

So, follow Paul’s advice and “let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” – Romans 12:1b-2a

God Bless!
