God Over Creation!

Do you believe in miracles?

That is an important question. The reason is we see many amazing things God did throughout the Bible. In the Old and New Testaments we find people who had great power, through God’s Divine ability, over the earth.

Do you believe that anything is possible with God? Even a pig flying?

The only way this was and is possible is that the God of Heaven has power over creation because He created it for His glory and pleasure!

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”

Revelations 4:11

We find that in Heaven as the heavenly beings worship God the Father they honor Him with acknowledging Him as the creator. In our scientific age we often ignore that God created all things and all things “have their being” or “hold together” (Colossians 1:17) because of Him!

We are in the midst of a natural crisis. But let me ask you again? Do you believe in Miracles?

We are going to start looking at the life of Elisha and how God showed Himself through many miracles. Follow in the leading of the Heavenlys in praise to God saying…

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”

Today we are going to see that Miracles are real, even miracles over the earth.

13 Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. 14 He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over. 15 The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, “The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

2 Kings 2:13-15

This is the beginning of Elisha’s ministry. The prophet Elijah was taken up into Heaven and Elisha was left holding his cloak. Just before this Elijah had hit the Jordan river with his cloak and it divided. But the great prophet of the LORD was gone and nothing was left expect the cloak. Elisha cried out, “Where NOW is the LORD, the God of Elijah?”

It is easy to find ourselves in a situation where we don’t know what to do. It seems as though we have lost something and don’t what to do or where to go.

Today, we are experiencing times that we really don’t know what will happen tomorrow. In the blink of an eye the world has changed; many have lost jobs, many are sick, many have died or loved ones who have died. We see this all over the news right now, but no matter if there is a pandemic happening or not there are difficult situations for all of us all the time.

This is where Elisha found himself; at a crossroads. Would he choose to wish for Elijah back or would he choose to be the man God had called him to be.

When we choose to be the man or woman God has created us to be we will find hope and our path. Elisha does the first miracle through the Power of God’s Spirit on him and the Jordan river separated letting him walk through.

Are you at a crossroads of faith today? One way is away from God and one way is toward God?

We can become consumed with looking back and wishing for better days that we miss the miracle God has right in front of us!

What is right in front of you? It is probably an obstetrical that may be difficult or maybe you are in the middle of the difficult time. I am here to remind you that God has the power OVER the earth!

Do you believe in miracles? Do you believe God has the power over the earth? Do you believe God will make a way through the river that is attempting to stop or overtake your life right now?

Elisha was at a place where he needed to choose God or man. Jesus said;

“What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

Luke 18:27

Do not rely on your own strength or the joy of those around you to get you through this river, but choose the miracle working power of God to get you through and you will be able to answer the question…

“Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?”

He is HERE! He has never left you and He will never forsake you! If it looks impossible for you; know that it is POSSIBLE for God!

Elisha did not rely on the past hopes, but his faith was built by watching Elijah. Not wishing Elijah was back; not believing that it was not the man but God who does the miracle!

God Spoke to Jeremiah saying…

27 “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?

Jeremiah 32:27

Is anything too hard for me? Both of these man had sometime in common with you. They had the Spirit of God inside of them giving them power to proclaim and believe in miracles! What river stands in your way. It can be metaphorical or a physical problem. Believe today that God has the power over creation. There is not sickness or problem that God does not have power over. Do you really believe there is nothing too hard for our God?

Do you believe in miracles?

A miracle is defined as

“an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.
such an effect or event manifesting or considered as a work of God.
a wonder; marvel.
a wonderful or surpassing example of some quality”
There are many things we do not understand; but what we do understand is that God is the creator of the physical world and as such He has the authority and ability to do things that supernatural.
If you believe God is real believe that miracles are real. Just as Elisha separated the water if you believe in miracles God will make a way through whatever obstacle is standing in front of you!
