But God…

We looked at what it meant to answer the question of But God instead of asking the question But God. Throughout life we can struggle with these this concept. Today I want to continue talking about but God, from 2 Timothy 2. Paul is writing to Timothy shortly before his death. God is sharing through Paul about our perspective of God and His word.

We looked at God in our lives, but I want to examine the idea that arises in this verse.

9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained.

2 Timothy 2:10

But God is the answer to every question we have in life. Now I want us to see that “But God’s Word” is more powerful than anything else. Paul was in chains suffering for preaching the word of God, but God’s word is not able to be chained. If you are banned from speaking God’s word and are chained for your faith know that God’s word is never chained or stopped.

It is important to understand that God’s word will not ever be chained. It does not matter what we see on the news, it doesn’t matter what we read on social media. Even if we are physically chained God’s word is active and moving.
