How do you do church?

G. K. Chesterton

Are you trying to fit in with your friends at church? Do you say all the right things, give offering, and help out in a ministry?

Those are really great things to do, but that is not being a christian. It is easy to go to church and get caught up in all the “right things” that you don’t realize you are just standing in a garage thinking you’re a car.

Romans 3:23-24 says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus”

Living as a good person doing all the right things doesn’t make you a Christian. The only way to become part of the safe and eternal family of God is to be justified through grace.

Becoming a Christian is easier then trying to be a good person. It is easier then trying to convince yourself you aren’t going to help, it is easier then all those things in your life that you hope will bring you happiness.

Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Thats all you have to do. Admit that you need at Savor and ask Christ to rule in your life and believe that Jesus died and rose again on the 3rd day. After that the Holy Spirit will help you do all those things you want. Be a good person, know you are not going to hell, and He gives you joy in life.

Do you just go to church and hope it makes you a Christian? Thats as sad as standing in a garage hoping your a car.

Choose Life! Let Christ be the LORD of your Life!

God Bless!
